PRODUCT CHARACTERISTICS
The Homocysteine Control Kit is used as control serum for
quantitative measurement of total L-homocysteine in human serum
or plasma and for quality control procedures in examining the
accuracy and precision of quantitative Homocystein assays.
REAGENTS
Homocystein controls are a lyophilized material prepared with
human serum base.
The concentrations of the tHcy are lot-specific. See chart below for
the values.
PRECAUTIONS
Components from human origin have been tested and found
negative for the presence of HBsAg, HCV and antibody to HIV (1/2).
However, handle cautiously as potentially infectious.
PREPARATION
Ready for use. No control preparation is required.
STORAGE AND STABILITY
Controls are stable until the expiration date on the label when stored
tightly closed at 2-8ºC and contaminations are prevented during
their use.
Do not use reagents over the expiration date.
If there is evidence of microbial contamination or excessive turbidity
in the product discard the vial.
This product is not intended for use as a calibrator.
